Attention American Express Card Holders: Save Even More on Your Holiday Purchases

Yes, I use credit cards.

No, I’m not trying to convince you to go out and get a credit card.  However, if you currently have an American Express credit card in your wallet, I want to be sure you’re getting the full value out of your card.

American Express has been running some nice statement credit promotions lately.  If you’re going to be shopping at eligible retailers, it’s probably worth checking out your potential savings before shopping.

Different offers have different subscription methods.  I’d suggest you check out this Slickdeals page for a consolidated list of offers and ways to enroll.

When you log into your American Express account, you can scroll down until you see a tab “Offers for you”.  If you just have one American Express card, that will be your easiest way to register for the various offers.  Personally, I usually prefer just to Tweet with the correct hashtag.  To each his own.

Most of the following offers (except BP) are one time use offers.  You must register the card, and the statement credit will only post once per card.  If your spouse is a joint owner on your account, he or she can register and get these promotions on their card as well.

My wife and I have switched to doing a lot of shopping at Amazon.  We’re Amazon Prime Members, so when we subscribe and save for at least five items a month, we’re already saving 20%.  The extra savings through this promotion makes Amazon even more appealing. Without a doubt, it sure beats shopping at Walmart – our previous go to store.

Costco
